Cool Are certain dog names associated with certain characteristics and traits?

After interviewing several veterinarians about this hypothesis, we determined that certain characteristics are generally associated with different dog names.

Here are some examples:

1. ROCKY - Most dogs named Rocky have big personalities.

2. BUDDY - The majority of dogs named Buddy are mixed breed dogs owned or named by men.

3. JACK - Dogs named "Jack" are often fairly carefree. They are often mixed breed dogs, however, they can also be purebred.

To see if your dog's name may be associated with your dog, take a look at our article titled "Meanings of Common Male Dog Names".

The article includes the complete list of over 30 names. Go to: petplace.com/dogs/male-dog-names
